A four-alarm fire ripped through a building only blocks away from Gothamist's downtown office last night. Nineteen people were reported injured in a blaze that inspectors are calling accidental. Residents, like true New Yorkers, continued to look on the bright side, There are holes everywhere. The ceiling is down. We could have a nice two-bedroom with my neighbor. Its pretty much open everywhere.
