A female street performer named Kanye West pleaded guilty in Manhattan Criminal Court today to throwing an amp through a window of a shop in Times Square. West, who used to be named Linda Resa, became angry last year after her amp stopped working, and threw it through the window of an Office Depot near 41st Street and 7th Avenue, near where she normally busks. As for why she legally changed her name to Kanye West in April 2011, she said: "There are a lot of girls who like him and I wanted to show that I'm more than them."

West admitted she has an anger problem, and was charged with criminal mischief in the third degree; she was sentenced to 100 hours of community service, which she can perform in Chicago where she comes from. West became enamored with West after she met him at a Chicago singing competition in 2005: "He said, 'Oh my God, it was awesome. You have superstar power. You really know how to work the stage."

After that, she took to performing under the name Mrs. Kanye West to perform songs "about my love for Kanye West" wearing a wedding dress. She doesn't like West's new girlfriend Kim Kardashian ("I think he can do better") of course. West also expressed frustration with her career: "Nobody comes to see me until I break a window or get a tattoo on my butt." In regards to that last bit: West has "Kanye's" name tattooed across her derrière.
