weird.gifGothamist loves a good radar image. Sure we're getting drenched and rumbles of thunder are starting to get us excited for summer storms (safety first of course), but we sure are glad we're not getting the 3+ inches of snow that Kentucky and Tennessee are getting right now. In this image (courtesy of Intellicast.com), the band of cold air that stretches south from the Great Lakes is producing this eerie eyeball of snow in the midst of the multiple storm systems that are just lining up to keep us from seeing the sun. The Weather Channel is being a little dramatic in our opinion though.

The futile wait for spring will continue tomorrow in the Northeast, a region that seems to have become a wasteland for any sort of sustained warmth and tranquility.

Also note, that the National Weather Service has kindly issued a Flood Watch for us. The sun says hi and may return sometime Thursday we hope.
