  • Speaking of testing, the Trump administration paid millions for plastic test tubes, and ended up with unusable expandable plastic soda bottles.
  • I hope you are ready for a scorching hot summer, because government researchers say that "hotter than normal temperatures [are] expected across almost the entire country into September."
  • American Airlines is banning the passenger who was kicked off a flight after refusing to wear a face covering.
  • Californians have been mandated by the state government to wear face coverings while in public or high-risk settings, including when shopping, taking public transit or seeking medical care.
  • USA Today reports that things got heated when a Black Lives Matter protest came to the small town of Bethel, Ohio: “Everybody had a gun,” one person said of the counter-protesters. “Like a cowboy show.”
  • Facebook deactivated dozens of ads placed by Trump’s reelection campaign today that included a symbol once used by the Nazis to designate political prisoners in concentration camps.
  • A filmmaker rented out a movie theater, bought every seat, and showed his short film, thus becoming the top film in the country for that week.
  • After clashing with a Democratic congressman over police reform yesterday, Rep. Matt Gaetz suddenly revealed on Twitter that he is living with a 19-year-old Cuban immigrant who he calls his "son."
  • Apparently if we all keep watching Netflix all the time, we're going to look like the people from Wall-E in 20 years.
