Not much happening in the weather around these parts today and tomorrow, but we did notice that, as a harbinger of things to come, there's a band of lake effect rain showers upstate this morning. The city is on the cool side of a high pressure system today, hence the brilliant sun and westerly breeze. Look for a high in the seasonable mid 60s. We'll approach 70 tomorrow as the center of the high passes overhead.
Clouds will begin to appear tomorrow afternoon ahead of a weak low pressure system. Some rain may fall late Tuesday night until noonish on Wednesday. Thursday looks to be another pleasantly sunny fall day with a high in the upper 60s.
The timing is still uncertain but it appears that a more significant weather maker, a cold front, will arrive on Friday or possibly early Saturday. Expect the usual showers before the front followed by clearing skies and cooler weather afterwards next weekend.
