The Tinder dating pool may not be so shallow anymore, but that doesn't mean it can't get scary in the deep end: a former Victoria's Secret model has been ordered to pay a former paramour she met on Tinder after she wrecked his apartment—and also forwarded his nude sexts to his mom.
The Post reports that model Heather Payne, 42, met real estate broker Colby Kirmse, 40, on Tinder last year. The two had been on just a few dates, according to Kirmse, when Payne apparently showed up at his East 12th Street apartment early in the morning on July 24, 2015.
"My apartment was destroyed, and I got beat up by an ex-model — not one of my highlights," he told them. "She just destroyed everything in her path like a Tasmanian devil." According to court papers, Payne repeatedly punched him in the face, threw his TV remote out the window, tossed his laptop across the room, and shoved his TV off its stand. She was arrested and charged with assault, attempted assault, harassment and criminal mischief for the incident.
As for why it happened: it seems there may have been a bit of a miscommunication between the two, since Payne apparently thought they were in a more serious relationship, while Kirmse was busy sexting other women he had met on Tinder. "I...woke up to her screaming at me with my cell in her hand, going through every text," he told the Post.
Payne agreed to a plea deal last week, agreeing to pay him just under $3,000 for the ruined equipment and avoid any jail time; in addition, as long as she stays out of trouble for six months, the incident will be wiped from the record.
But the most embarrassing part of the incident involved Kirmse's mother—Payne allegedly forwarded the racy sexts that Kirmse had sent to the other women to his mom. "My mom was like, 'What are all these pictures of erections?'"
