2006_01_08_conexpensive.jpgIs your electric bill about to go through the roof? Ours certainly is. And in case you weren't sure, the Post has a scare article all about it for you(headline: KILOWHAT?! CON ED PRICES JUMP 36%). The gist of the story is that the price per kilowatt-hour of electricity, 11 cents per kilowatt last April and 15 cents per kilowatt in November and December, in January will be nearly 20 cents per. The increase is due to the fact that most of ConEd's electricity is produced using natural gases, whose prices have not exactly been steady of late.

To make matters even more fun, rates "probably will continue to rise in 2006."

So, uh, sorry this post is short but, well, we gotta go turn off the TV. And the lights. And the space heater. Uhm, and the computer....
