The MTA announced tonight that they "have stopped operating buses south of 23rd Street in Manhattan because of dangerous conditions." Those dangerous conditions are the powerless streets.

According to WABC 7, without traffic lights, the streets are very dark and there are also many pedestrians on the street. Limited bus service, which started last night, will resume in the morning. Tomorrow morning at 6 a.m., limited subway service will resume along with a "bus bridge."
