Police are on the hunt for a driver who decided to flee after being pulled over in Queens, while the officer's arm was still perched on the car.
According to a police spokesperson, the unidentified officer attempted to pull over the driver of a tan Nissan Maxima with illegally tinted windows on Atlantic Avenue and 75th Street around 9 p.m. The officer approached the car and rested his arm on its window sill, at which point the driver took off, knocking the officer to the ground.
The officer was taken to North Shore-Long Island Hospital with cuts on his hands, elbows, knees and the back of his head. He is currently in stable condition.
