A driver hit and killed a three-year-old girl near Yankee Stadium this morning, police said. The girl was walking across East 164th Street at Gerard Avenue when a 21-year-old driving a 2014 Nissan down Gerard turned left onto 164th and ran into her. The victim was walking with her mother, who was pushing another child in a stroller, at the time, according to reports.

Paramedics rushed the toddler to Lincoln Hospital, and she died there, police said. The driver stayed at the scene, and police have not charged him so far.

The intersection was the scene of seven crashes in 2015, one of which injured a pedestrian, according to NYPD data.
