A four-year-old girl is in critical condition after a driver apparently lost control of his car, driving into her Springfield Gardens home's front yard and striking her and her 11-year-old brother. Aicha Sylla was pinned between the car and house, and the Daily News reports that her father tried to attack the driver; a witness said, "It was horrible, really horrible. Everybody was crying. The father was going crazy." The driver was arrested—but not for driving his car into the yard and hitting two kids.

It turns out that Anthony Grays, 39, who passed a Breathalyzer test, violated an order of protection because his passenger was his girlfriend who had the order of protection against him (police tell the News that she was there willingly). It's believed that Grays lost control of the Mercury Sable because he was distracted when he was arguing with the 25-year-old woman. The car jumped a curb at 160th Street and North Conduit Avenue and crashed through a fence, hitting Aicha and brother Tyzian.

Tyzian managed to extricate himself from being pinned; a neighbor told the Post, "He limped over to the steps. His face was all bloody." The children are both at Long Island Jewish Hospital, with Tyzian in stable condition and Aicha in critical condition.
