Yesterday we were gladdened to report that investigators believe they've arrested the miserable P.O.S. seen on surveillance video brutally kicking a dog in a Harlem elevator. Now the NYPD tells us the dog has also been rescued, and is currently in the hands of Animal Care & Control of NYC. They also sent us this photo, which we wanted to share with you.

28-year-old Bronx resident Brian Freeman was arrested and charged with torturing and injury to an animal. Animal Care & Control is caring for the dog pending PDs investigation. AC&C spokesman Richard Gentles tells us, "She is not available for adoption at this time." If we get any further information about the dog's fate, we'll be sure to update.
