Cops are looking for two men who they say skipped out on the bill at a Maspeth diner and assaulted the staff while trying to get away.
The incident occurred on Saturday, October 1st at the Goodfellas Diner on Maspeth Avenue and Rust Street around 7:50 a.m. According to police, one of the men punched a 70-year-old diner employee when he tried to prevent them from fleeing the scene. One of the two dashers hopped into a car parked outside the diner, and a 67-year-old employee tried to write down the license plate number when the second man allegedly grabbed her notepad and pushed her to the ground.
As a result of the incident, the female employee suffered a broken arm and a dislocated shoulder. She was taken to a local hospital where she is in serious but stable condition.
The man sped away in the vehicle. Police described both of the suspects as between 25 and 30 years old. The first man weighs around 180 lbs and was last seen wearing a blue jacket and dark pants; the second man weighs around 200 lbs, has a beard, and was last seen wearing a gray hoodie and gray sweatpants.
