A Midtown jewelry store in the Diamond District was held up in broad daylight on Sunday, and now police have released surveillance footage showing the suspects, who are accused of wielding guns and tying up employees while robbing the store.
The robbery took place around noon on Sunday, when according to the NYPD, three male suspects "entered the location and inquired about purchasing jewelry." Then two suspects "proceeded to brandish firearms, force four individuals to a back room, where they were zip-tied and duct-taped."
The video shows the suspects passing a bag around while employees are on the floor:

It's unclear how much was taken, but some believe it comes to millions. The suspects removed what the police say is "an undetermined amount of jewelry from the safes and display cases" before they fled east on 47th Street. That's because, as the Post reports, "the owners were at first kept out of the store while detectives meticulously scoured it for evidence, sources added."

After the theft, one of the store's employees was at a restaurant where he told a teenager, "We opened the store [at 11:45] and they came in and acted like customers." The employee thinks the suspects took about $4 million worth of jewelry.
Anyone with information in regard to the identity of the males is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
