A very patient thief followed an elderly man for 10 miles before allegedly robbing him of some casino winnings last weekend.

According to the News, Gregory Hillman, 57, first spotted the 88-year-old counting $1,000 in money he won at the Resorts World Casino in South Ozone Park on Halloween night. Hillman could then be seen on surveillance camera following the elderly man in and out of the casino bathroom and betting parlor, then onto a shuttle bus.

He continued following him onto the E train at the Jamaica station, and both men got off at the Roosevelt Avenue/74th Street stop in Jackson Heights. When the elderly man went into a grocery store, so did Hillman; when the victim got on a Q47 bus and rode it to East Elmhurst, so did Hillman.

Altogether, Hillman followed the man for about 90 minutes before finally jumping him in East Elmhurst, near the elderly man's home. Hillman has been charged with robbery, assault and grand larceny. He faces up to 15 years in prison.
