The death of a Maryland woman who went into cardiac arrest after receiving silicone butt injections in the basement of a Far Rockaway home this spring has been deemed a homicide.

The victim, 34-year-old Kelly Mayhew, drove up to Queens with her mother on May 30th to receive the silicone injections from a woman who regularly conducted the procedure out of her Far Rockaway basement.

After receiving the fatal injections, Mayhew started gurgling and struggling to breathe. Rather than offer assistance, the phony surgeon allegedly fled the scene in a grey SUV, leaving the victim's mother to to perform CPR.

The suspect's name has not been released by the NYPD, although the News reports that she is currently living in England. Mayhew's case is before a grand jury.

According to the medical examiner, Mayhew died as the result of a silicone embolism, or foreign clot in the blood stream. The fatal butt injection was reportedly her fifth.

In September, a New Jersey woman pled guilty to fatally injecting a man's penis with silicone. Because of her guilty plea, she avoided charges for injecting silicone into a woman's buttocks and breasts, which allegedly happened four times over the last two years.
