Yesterday afternoon, the body of an unidentified woman was found wrapped in a blanket at Division and Kent Avenues, by the Wallabout Channel. It's believed the body was dumped on the desolate dead-end street.

The police say that the woman, who appeared to be in her 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene by EMS. The Medical Examiner's Office will determine the cause of death.

WABC 7 reports, "The body was loosely covered by a quilted blanket, the kind used by movers. Police were called Tuesday afternoon but the victim may have been there for much longer, unnoticed. A man saw the blanket when he arrived for work but didn't think twice about it." Another passer-by ended up calling 911.
