Police found a body floating in Central Park's Conservatory Water this morning just after 8 a.m., they say, but the cause of death has not been determined yet.
According to police, officers responded to a call about the body in the pond, which is near 5th Avenue between East 73rd and East 75th Streets, shortly after 8 a.m. this morning. According to CBS, the man is believed to have been in his 20s or 30s. WPIX reports that someone in the park who saw the body jumped in to the water to attempt a rescue, before determining that the man was dead.
An NYPD spokesperson said that the medical examiner is still determining a cause of death for the man.
