While former mayor Rudy Giuliani continued to blast plans to host the trials of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and four other suspected terrorists in New York City, the Daily Show went after some seemingly hypocritical comments the likely gubernatorial candidate made just three years ago.

Giuliani has come out strongly against the Obama administration's plans to try the suspects in federal court instead of in military tribunals because he feels it provides "benefits to the terrorists and much less benefits to the public." He again scorned the idea at a Republican gathering in Staten Island yesterday, according to the Advance.

But the Daily Show pulls together some contradictory quotes the former mayor made three years ago when he spoke out in favor of trying "20th hijacker" Zacarias Moussaoui in federal court, stating: "I think there is value in demonstrating to people what America is like — that we can have these kind of emotional disagreements, but that there is a law and we will follow it."
