A cyclist was killed by a truck early this morning on Queens Boulevard. According to police, a 38-year-old man was biking on Queens Boulevard near the intersection of Hoover Avenue at around 6:05 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle that was also traveling on the boulevard. An FDNY spokesman described that vehicle as a truck. While the driver fled the scene, the victim was transported to Jamaica hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
