A 32-year-old cyclist was killed by a hit and run driver underneath the BQE in Williamsburg early this morning. Police responded to a 911 call of a person being struck by a vehicle on the northbound lane of Meeker Avenue between Frost Street and Manhattan Avenue at around 3:53 a.m. and found the man lying in the roadway with trauma to his head, his bicycle lying nearby.
The man, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at Bellevue Hospital. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.
