A man was seriously injured in a Citi Bike incident in midtown Manhattan today. The NYPD says the man, who is in his 70s, hit the curb at 56th Street and Madison Avenue while riding the bike, fell and hit his head on the pavement, and was taken to Cornell Hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

One lane of Madison Avenue was closed off after the incident. FDNY said the incident happened around 11 a.m., but NYPD said it happened just after noon.
