There have been plenty of allegations hurled, artwork shared, and even a couple of laughs had. But now, someone's feelings have gotten hurt in Crazyfest 2010. Andrew Cuomo responded to Paladino's well-publicized withdrawn accusations that he was unfaithful to his ex-wife, who he has three children with. "Did my kids have to read it? Yes. And was it hurtful to my kids who are in school? Of course, it was," he said. Because in addition to being our future, children are also our best attempt at humanizing ourselves.
Cuomo told reporters at a news conference on Staten Island on Friday that he had been forced to sit down his girls, twins Mariah and Cara, 15, and Michaela, 13, to tell them there was no truth to Paladino's innuendo: “It’s not easy for them to go through this and experience this.” Cuomo called the adulterous charges “demeaning” and “degrading” and said it “demonstrates why people are disgusted with politics.”
But Paladino was equally upset that his daughter, Sarah, 10, who he had with his mistress, had been hounded by reporters in the week prior, and had been reduced to tears by reporters hounding her. "She's a 10-year-old kid. When did children become combatants?"he asked on WOR's John Gambling.
