A woman was riding the Q train in Queens on Monday afternoon when she noticed a man sitting near her with his penis out. Great. The NYPD says he was "engaged in a lewd act," which we're assuming was masturbatory, but we suppose it's possible he was rehearsing for a big Puppetry of the Penis audition. Regardless, once you expose your junk in public you've obviously entered "lewd" territory, and we don't really want to know the gnarly details anyway. Please don't expose your penis on the subway thx bye.

Police say the incident happened shortly before 1 p.m. in the vicinity of 31st Street and 30th Avenue. There were "no injuries" resulting from the incident, at least not physically. The suspect is described as in his 30's, 5'5"-5'8", with brown eyes, black hair who was last seen wearing a red short sleeve t-shirt with a black design on the front, black shorts and white sneakers, orange and gray sneakers.

If you see or experience lewd subway behavior, you can do something about it. The MTA's website has a place for riders to report subway misconduct and even a place for riders to submit images. We know that detectives have contacted subway riders after they've submitted their incidents via the website.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
