The police have released a photographer of a man wanted for a robbery on the Lower East Side; investigators say the suspect punched his victim in the face.
According to the NYPD, on Tuesday afternoon around 4:20 p.m., a 25-year-old woman was followed into 50 Allen Street: "The suspect struck the victim twice in the face with a closed fist and removed her purse. The suspect then fled eastbound on Allen Street."
The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 35-40 years old, wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white sneakers. Police urge anyone with information to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
