The police say that a group of six people attacked two passengers on a 4 train early yesterday morning.

According to the NYPD, the incident occurred at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, October 5. Two men, one 20-year-old and one 23-year-old, were on a northbound 4 train approaching East 96th Street when they got into an argument with a group. The police say that "led to [the suspects] attacking both victims." The first victim, the 20-year-old, was slashed in the face while the other victim was punched and kicked numerous times.

Both victims were taken to St. Luke's Hospital, where the first victim received stitches and the second victim refused medical attention.

Police released video of the suspects, describing two suspects as males about 18 to 23 years old and the other four suspects as females about 16 to 22 years old.
