The police are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect in an attempted rape that occurred yesterday morning in Manhattan.
According to the NYPD, at 3:25 a.m. on Saturday, June 6th, the suspect followed a 25-year-old woman into her apartment building in the Gramercy section of Manhattan and tried to rape her in the vestibule. The victim was able to fight off the suspect, who fled the scene. The victim refused medical attention.
Police released images of the suspect, describing him as 5'8", 170 pounds and wearing blue jeans, white sneakers and a dark jacket with the ADIDAS symbol on the back and with the word ADIDAS on the hood.
