Police are hoping the public can help them find a man accused of a brutal sexual assault that occurred in Brooklyn on Saturday.
According to the NYPD, on May 23, at around 6 p.m., a 59-year-old woman was sitting on a park bench on Eastern Parkway when she was approached with the male suspect who engaged her in conversation: "The suspect then led the victim to an apartment building on Albany Avenue after the victim stated she needed to find a restroom. The suspect then directed the victim into the basement of the apartment building and proceeded to choke her and force her to perform oral sex while in the basement stairwell. The suspect then brought the victim into the basement and again choked the victim until she passed out and then again forced her to perform oral sex."
The suspect fled and the victim was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police release a video of the suspect, describing him as approximately 60 years old, 5'10" and 200 pounds, with a Caribbean accent and "a scarred and discolored eye."
