The police are hoping the public can help them identify the driver who killed a pedestrian in a hit-and-run last week.

The incident occurred at 2:20 a.m. on Saturday, November 1, when Alex Davis, 59, was trying to cross Rockaway Parkway between Clarkson Avenue and Winthrop Street in Brownsville. Davis was apparently crossing mid-block when he was struck, and he was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital.

Police released video of the suspected vehicle, noting that it was "a grey 2013-2014 Ford Mustang with a V6 engine that sustained front end damage from the collision causing a piece of the grille to fall off."
