Three unauthorized intruders managed to enter the maternity ward at NYU Lutheran Medical Center in Borough Park on Sunday afternoon, and proceeded to ask a woman for permission to take pictures with her new baby. Unsurprisingly, the woman refused.
According to police, two women and one man managed to enter the maternity ward at 150 55th Street around 2:00 p.m, without announcing themselves much less presenting any form of identification. When the victim refused to let them take pictures with her infant, the three suspects left the hospital and drove away in a white minivan.
An NYPD spokesman confirmed that the victim had no idea who the suspects were, and that the suspects did not interact with any hospital staff on their way into the ward.
Both women are described by police as Hispanic, between the ages of 30 and 35, and about 5'4" tall. One was last seen wearing a black sleeveless shirt, the other a multi-colored striped shirt with glasses. The man, also Hispanic, is believed to be of the same age and about 5'7". He is bald, and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and black baseball hat.
