Police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a woman last month in Queens.
According to the NYPD, the incident occurred at 3:45 a.m. on May 31st, near 42 Avenue and Warren Street in Corona. Police say the man they're searching for grabbed a 33-year-old woman by the throat and demanded she take him to her apartment. She resisted, and when she tried to fight the suspect off he punched her in the mouth and stomach several times. He then threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her with his hand.
The victim screamed for help and her assailant fled east on 42 Avenue.
The police describe the suspect as 5'5" to 5"7" and was last seen wearing a checkered shirt and dark colored pants. Surveillance photos (above) and video were also released:
