Police are looking for a man accused of following and then raping a woman in Jackson Heights, Queens last week.

According to the NYPD, the attack occurred at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, September 2nd, behind 34-30 84th Street. The suspect followed a 35-year-old woman, who was walking home from work, and "minutes prior to the incident, the suspect is seen on surveillance video putting on a mask and waiting for the victim to pass."

Police say he followed her for a few blocks until she got to the area near 84th Street and 35th Avenue and then "demanded money, grabbed her, putting a sharp object to her throat. The suspect pulled the victim to an alley between two houses and raped her."

The suspect fled down an alley, fleeing over a fence towards 83rd Street, and continued in an unknown direction.

Police describe the suspect as being about 5'4" with a slim build and last seen wearing a mask, dark colored shirt and jean. There is surveillance video of him putting on the mask:
