Police are looking for a man who allegedly tried to rape an elderly woman while she was at work in Bedford-Stuyvesant yesterday, and they've released a video of the man lingering outside of the building.
The suspect walked into the Bed-Stuy building where the 77-year-old victim worked and attacked her around noon, reports the Daily News. She was able to fight him off and escaped unharmed. As of right now, the cops do not believe that the suspect is connected to the recent string of sexual assaults that have South Brooklyn residents on edge.
Police describe the suspect as a black male between the ages of 25-30, 5'6"-5'10" in height, 160-180 lbs, wearing a blue and white multi-colored button down shirt, black ¾ length jacket, blue jeans, black sneakers with white soles and a black baseball cap with white lettering. Police ask anyone with information to contact NYPD's Crime Stoppers tipline at 800-577-TIPS or online here.
