Incident# 1 On September 11, 2014 at 1515 hours, the female victim was walking up the stairs to the Q train, at the West 8 Street station, when the suspect approached her from behind and removed her right shoe (black Adidas sneaker) and fled the location. Incident# 2 On October 2, 2014 at 0818 hours, the female victim was walking up the stairs to the F train, at the West 8 Street station, when the suspect approached her from behind and removed her right shoe (Nike sneaker) and fled the location.

In addition, 20-year-old Kayla Miller, a student at Yeshiva University, was mugged for her $50 Toms shoes around 1 a.m. while on her way home in Fresh Meadows on September 19th. "He jumped out and said, ‘I’m not going to hurt you. I’m not going to stab you. Just give me your shoes,’ ” Miller said at the time. "I was just like that’s the weirdest thing he could ask me for."

Police describe the suspect as a white male who is in his 30s. "It’s very creepy," a police source said to the Post. "I mean, can you picture walking down into the subway to go to work and some wacko steals a shoe from your foot? With all the worries people have about safety, you have to worry about your shoe being taken right off your foot?"
