Police are looking for a Bronx father who briefly kidnapped his two kids after allegedly shooting at their mother, trying to set her apartment on fire, and then stealing her car. According to the News, dad Fitz Edward, 29, fired a shot at his 26-year-old ex-girlfriend inside her Eastchester apartment (near Barker and Adee Avenues) around 5 a.m. this morning. He started a small fire (it's not clear how), and then Edward grabbed his 5-year-old son Nahzir and 2-year-old daughter Mlyliah and left in the ex's car.

The kids, who were barefoot and dressed only in Pampers, were found alone and unharmed in the carjacked vehicle in Harlem just after noon today, the Post reports. The mother and children were not injured in the incident; Edward carjacked someone else after he left the kids, taking a gray 2005 Honda Accord with a New York license plate EWV6599. Anyone with information about the kidnapping is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
