The NYPD has arrested a man who allegedly raped a 52-year-old woman in Bed-Stuy last week. Police say he also threatened to shoot her and broke her teeth.
Kareem David, a 28-year-old homeless man, was arrested in connection to an incident that took place last Monday, August 17th, at 3:00 a.m. David allegedly approached the 52-year-old female victim on Putnam Street, and ordered her to follow him "under threat of being shot." David allegedly raped the victim near an outdoor basement stairwell, shoving his fingers down her throat and breaking two of her teeth. The victim was subsequently taken to an area hospital in stable condition.
David has been charged with rape and assault, and his arraignment is scheduled for this morning.
