Police believe a man killed in a drive-by shooting in Baychester yesterday might have been targeted because he allegedly owed money to a drug dealer. The victim—described as a black man in his 40s—was driving a Chevrolet Impala when a dark sedan pulled up beside him at the corner of Eastchester and E. Gun Hill roads at 12:15 p.m. and fired several shots, the Daily News reports. The victim's car then rolled into a sidewalk and flipped over. "I saw a man inside. He was bleeding profusely from his nose and ears. He was not moving at all," said Kelvin Akpovwa, 27, who tried to pull the victim from the vehicle. "In this neighborhood, I've seen accidents but never violence like this."
