More details have emerged about the cop accused of raping a woman in Staten Island. According to the NY Post, Arthur Roldan's victim was his "pregnant stripper ex-girlfriend."

The Staten Island District Attorney's prosecutors say that on Tuesday night, in a parking lot on Father Cappodano Boulevard, Roldan, 28, threatened the woman with a gun as well as a knife and raped her. The victim also says he punched her in the face.

Police sources tell the Post and Daily News that the woman had agreed to meet Roldan, a six-year NYPD veteran who works in Brooklyn, in his car. The Post calls the street a "notorious lovers' lane" and reports, "It was there that she performed oral sex on him, sources said, but when she told him that she wanted to stop, he allegedly punched her in the face, pulled a folding knife and a handgun and forced her to have intercourse."

The News' source says, "They were exes, but they still had contact. He wanted sex. She refused ... He put the gun to her head. He used the gun and the knife to coerce her."

Roldan, who was charged with rape, assault and menacing, was released on $20,000 bail. However, a judge warned him that if he has any contact with the victim—including over social media—his bail would be raised to $200,000. His lawyer said that Roldan maintains his innocence.

Neighbors were split: One told the Post, "Police are supposed to protect us. I don’t want to believe it, but I’m not really surprised to find out he did this. It’s really scary," while another told the Staten Island Advance, "I never heard of any problems around here."
