Two Columbus Circle vendors were arrested and charged with assault yesterday after one of the vendors allegedly hit the other's wife with a toy helicopter. The second vendor then stabbed the first, according to police.
The NYPD says that at around 6:45 p.m. yesterday at Central Park South near Broadway, 38-year-old Marcus Pagan flew the toy helicopter into Carlos Perez's wife's neck. Perez, 48, allegedly became irate and pulled out a blade, slashing Pagan in the neck. Pagan also sustained a laceration to his arm and was transported to Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Perez and Pagan were both arrested and charged with assault, according to the NYPD; Perez was also charged with criminal possession of a weapon.
