A Columbia freshman was found dead in her dorm room Wednesday night, after friends told a floor resident advisor they had not seen her. There is question to how long 18 year old Jessica Pastron was dead before the RA discovered her body - she last checked into her room at Furnald on Monday, but Pastron, a talented pianist, had no roommate. At this point, her autopsy remains inconclusive, with more tissue and toxicology tests to be performed. Additionally, Columbia Student Affairs is being criticized after some e-mail difficulty delayed letting the student population know what happened.
