A woman says she was threatened by a person wearing a Christmas tree skirt around his neck on a subway in Manhattan on New Year's Eve.

The incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. on December 31st, 2016. The NYPD says the victim, a 29-year-old woman, entered the subway station at East 59th Street and Lexington Avenue "where she first observed the individual by the turnstile smoking a cigarette." According to police:

The victim proceeded towards the mezzanine to the platform, when she noticed the individual had followed her and was holding an ice pick in his left hand. Both the victim and the individual boarded the southbound "N" train but at different cars.

The victim further observed the individual entering her car after it left the station. The victim exited at the 42 Street Times Square station and the individual remained on the train to parts unknown.

The suspect, who is wanted for menacing, is described as being about 5'3" and 145 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was seen wearing black shoes and a red Christmas tree skirt.
