A nine-year-old boy was struck by a livery car in the Crown Heights section of Brooklyn this morning, and is currently in critical condition. Cops say he was crossing the intersection of Eastern Parkway and Utica Ave from north to south when he was hit by a westbound 2004 Mercury livery cab. The incident happened at about 8:55 a.m.
The driver stayed on the scene, and police say the child was taken to King's County Hospital with severe head trauma. No criminality is suspected, but the investigation is ongoing, and we'll inform you of any updates.
