What better way to refute rumors that your marriage is over than by appearing at a glittering gala? And it's even better when you can honor your dad, who happens to be a former President! Last night, Chelsea Clinton and husband Marc Mezvinsky appeared at the amfAR Gala, and the recent bride said of her father, President Bill Clinton, "The work he has done, the work he is doing and the work he will continue to do [for AIDS research is invaluable]... That's a good reason to be proud. An even better reason to be proud is he hasn't stopped."

This was the young couple's first public appearance—well, if you don't count a trip to the gym— since the Post reported last month that Mezvinsky left his investment banking job to snowboard in Jackson Hole, Wyoming for three months. The National Enquirer weighed in, suggesting that Mezvinsky was unhappy with his wife putting plans for a family on hold (Chelsea is getting a Ph.D. at NYU's Wagner School), but then sources close to the Clinton camp said the couple is very happy. Which is a huge relief, because it would suck if the most important event to happen in the Hudson Valley (since the advent of antiquing) were for naught.
