A story: Last week I was too frozen with fear over the inauguration to write a weekend subway post. On Saturday night, one of my roommates was trying to make his way from Crown Heights to Chelsea. He asked me if the 2,3 was running and I said yes. I did not, however, know the changes off the top of my head, having not read the press blast from the MTA, and I was wrong. It took him three train transfers and a whole lot of walking to get where he needed to go. In short, I am a bad roommate.

Anyway, here are this weekend's service changes:

1 trains will not run in either direction between 14 St and South Ferry, with that change in effect from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

All 2 trains will run local between Chambers St and 34 St-Penn Station, starting at 11:30 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. Monday.

3 trains will run to/from New lots Av from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. All trains will run local between Chambers St and 34 St-Penn Station, with that change in effect from 11:30 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

4 trains will not run between New Lots Av/Utica Av and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall at all, starting at 11:45 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. Monday—trains will run local between 25 St and Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall during that period. Woodlawn-bound trains will run express from 149 St-Grand Concourse to Burnside Av, with that change in effect from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 o.m. Sunday. Trains will run every 16 minutes between Woodlawn and 125 St from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, and again from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday; the last stop for some Woodlawn-bound trains will be 125 St.

5 trains will not run between Bowling Green and Grand Central-42 St in either direction, with that change in effect from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday, and again from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Sunday.

Main St-bound 7 trains will run express from Queensboro Plaza to 74 St-Broadway from 3:45 a.m. Saturday to 10 p.m. Sunday.

C trains will not run at all between W 4 St-Wash Sq and Euclid Av, starting at 6:30 a.m. and ending at midnight on Saturday and Sunday.

All E trains will reroute along the F line between 21 St-Queensbridge and W 4 St-Wash Sq, with that change in effect from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Trains run local between Roosevelt Av and Forest Hills-71 Av from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

F trains will not run at all between Coney Island-Stillwell Av and Jay St-MetroTech, with that change in effect from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday. Trains run local between Roosevelt Av and Forest Hills-71 Av from 12:01 a.m. Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

G trains will run to/from Coney Island-Stillwell Av from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

J trains will not run in either direction between Broadway Junction and Jamaica Ctr-Parsons Archer from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

L trains will not run in either direction between 8 Av and 14 St-Union Sq from 11:45 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.

R trains will operate to/from the Jamaica-179 St F station from 6:30 a.m. to midnight on Saturday.
