Vandals took aim at Donald Trump's Bronx golf course/taxpayer money pit, Trump Links at Ferry Point, hopping a fence and cutting down four trees with a chainsaw on Tuesday morning, according to police.

Cops say that at about 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, two unidentified tree-killers climbed over a metal fence located at the back of the golf course and took a chainsaw to four 30-foot tall trees. The tree and/or golf course opponents then fled he scene, but left their chainsaw behind, investigators say.

According to the NY Post, the course's general manager suggested that this is the second time this year that trees at the course have been cut down by vandals. CBS reports that a maintenance worker chased the intruders away while they were cutting the trees down.

The suspects' motivation remains unclear. The Post and CBS spoke to nearby residents, who suggested the culprits may have simply wanted to provide a better view of the golf course.

Police say that no arrests have been made, and an investigation is ongoing.
