After rumors that Harlem Children's Zone leader Geoffrey Canada was Bloomberg's first pick for Schools Chancellor, Cathie Black seemed a little defensive. But there's nothing to worry about, Black, because Canada thinks you're great. He told the Daily News, "I'm in the minority, but I think it's a tremendous appointment...We have diminishing dollars from city and state budgets, but higher expectations for student performance. The only way to do that is to create partnerships with the business world and the clergy." Speaking of, the NY Archdiocese has its own school problems.
