An unidentified man collapsed while jogging in Prospect Park on New Year's Eve and police are asking the public for help in identifying him.
According to the NYPD, the man was in the park on December 31, 2013 at 1 p.m. when he collapsed and was taken to Methodist Hospital in critical condition. The jogger, who had no ID on him, remains at the hospital and has received no visitors.
He's described as about 60 years old, 5'9" and 200 pounds with brown eyes and grey hair. He was wearing blue jogging pants and jacket and size 9 1/2 black Adidas sneakers.
Michael Ring, vice president of the Prospect Park Track Club, told DNAinfo that three other runners had gone to the hospital in hopes of identifying him. Ring says he spoke to the unconscious man: "I kind of awkwardly said to him, 'Sir I don't know you, but I hope you’re going to be OK.'"
