One person was injured this morning when a cab driver jumped a curb in Midtown, striking a bus stop shelter.

The FDNY says the incident happened around 7:42 a.m., on Madison Avenue near 33rd Street, and another vehicle was involved in the crash. DNAinfo reports that the cab actually collided with an X1 bus before careening into the shelter: "The cab flew into the bus stop," witness Kim Despiau, who works at a nearby shop, told the website. "It was really loud. He went pretty fast. We thought the cab was coming inside the store."

One person was transported to NYU Langone Medical Center, though his injuries are minor and non life-threatening.

The NYPD did not yet have any information regarding potential arrests or citations.
