Police are searching for a pair of burglars accused of robbing three popular Brooklyn restaurants over the past few months, having apparently found such success at one that they hit it twice.
South Slope's Greenwood Park beer garden was first robbed around 3:30 a.m. on August 22, when the suspects broke in and took $24,450 from the bar's safe. Having found the initial experience so lucrative, they had the gall to go back on October 28 around 2 a.m., this time making off with another $20,000.
They also hit nearby Bar Toto on August 22, having busted in the front door using a crowbar and taken $1,500 from the register. On October 18, the same two entered a rear gate of Red Hook's Brooklyn Crab and removed a $500 safe containing $7,000 in cash and $2,600 in electronics.
Police are still searching for the suspects, depicted in the surveillance photo above. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477)
