2006_08_babystroller.jpgEven babies sleeping in apartments aren't safe from gunfire. Yesterday, six month old Zatrina Ramsey was grazed by a bullet that had come through the front door of her family's Canarsie apartment. She had been sleeping in a stroller in the living room (the bedroom was too hot so her mother Beatrice moved her) and the bullet that hit her had first "slammed into the floor" and then "ricocheted" towards her, according to the Post. The mother tried to comfort the baby after the shooting, not even knowing Zatrina had been hit until she realized Zatrina was bleeding. A neighbor tells Newsday that the elevator's floors aren't marked, so the gunman, who fired twice inside, may have been looking to shoot at a different floor.
